New York State Pre-Showing Policy
It is Brokerage policy that the following is not required prior to showing a potential homebuyer a property for purchase:
(1) Broker/Agent do not require identification from a prospective homebuyer,
(2) Broker/Agent do not require a pre-approval for a mortgage loan in order to show a client homes for sale at their initial meeting, but Agent may require pre-approval before submitting purchase offers on behalf of homebuyer.
As is consistent with local and federal guidelines, our Brokerage does require that all prospective homebuyers sign either a non-exclusive or exclusive buyer agency agreement before viewing properties with an agent.
